The Lost Bible Books is a collection of little known, forbidden and banned gospels, epistles, psalms, and ancient religious texts that have surfaced throughout history. Many of these works were banned and burned over the millennium by various religious and political leaders, but some have survived. Origins and authors are as varied as the texts themselves with some of these documents being of unknown origin. Much of this information is already in the public domain but requires searching to locate it.
The goal of TheLostBibleBooks.com is to locate and publish as many of these little known works as possible on this site as a central research area for anyone interested in lost bible books. In many cases, for me at least, it has been hard to figure out what was so wrong with these documents that they were banned. In ancient times, possession of some of these documents could have been an automatic death sentence by Church or political leaders. Luckily, a few brave people hid some of these ancient texts for future generations while other texts have been long forgotten in libraries.
Some biblical translations have been accomplished by different scholars resulting in similar but differently translated versions.
These different versions will also be added as they are located. Since there are so many of these lost bible books and ancient texts
available and still surfacing, this will be an ongoing effort so be sure to check back often for the latest additions. Unfortunately, I will never be able to publish all of the available lost bible books due to copywrite restrictions on some works such as the Gospel of Judas. For myself, some of these texts have addressed unanswered questions that have been on my mind for years. I sincerely hope that you enjoy reading these as much as I have.
